101A fertilizer attachment with fasthitch
Hello
I was looking at the manual trying to figure out how the 101A attaches when you have a fasthitch. It says to use a headless bolt. Is this just as it says headless bolt or is it something special bolt?
Thanks in advance for your help !!
Wade

Re: 101A fertilizer attachment with fasthitch
Maybe I should clarify some. I was talking about where the brace attaches to the final housing when you have fast hitch and the depth adjusting lever . Does anyone have the 101A installed with the brace mounting to the fast hitch bracket? pic of the headless bolt or it dimensions?
Thanks Wade

I think a headless bolt may be one with the "head" in the middle, and threads sticking out both ends. This way you can tighten it down on the depth control, and leave it there. Then you can install the side dresser any time you feel like it. Or, it's just a stud.
All you should need is a bolt approximately 1/2" longer than the one that's in there. Just bolt through both the brace and the depth lever.

Re: 101A fertilizer attachment with fasthitch
Does anyone have the measurement for the brace, chain tighter bracket for the fast hitch ? The brace looks to be aflat piece of steel but the tighter bracket looks to be in a different location than what's on the non fast hitch type.
Thanks, Kirk

Re: 101A fertilizer attachment with fasthitch
I am not sure I follow all that is being discussed here, but when I saw the mention of a headless bolt it got my attention. Last year at my "mini fest" some helpful guys managed to remove a headless bolt in the top front implement hole in my '55 cub's right final. When I get home tomorrow I will post a photo and if it is what you are looking for, you may have it.

Dale,
I would like to see a photo of the headless bolt. I do have the lever type fast hitch. Old iron, Wade, started this post and I just had some more questions so if he has the screw thype fast hitch and doesn't need this type bolt I would like to have it. When I get down the boss I guess I'll be able to see what it looks like close up. Thanks for the replies.

This was the post I made a while back trying to determine what the bolt/screw was for.
http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=75157 Is this what you are talking about?
