Re: Used farmall cub prices?????? whats up
Buzzard Wing, funny you should bring that up, today I was on the Case IH website and was looking for the date when IH sold/split the Industrial division away from agriculture and was looking at the history section and found this and thought what would a Cub look like today if they still built it..............
2009 Case IH launches continuously variable transmission (CVT) technology, standard on the new Magnum 225 model and optional on the Magnum 180 - 210 tractors. Easier to operate than other CVT transmissions, the Case IH CVT automatically adjusts to constantly deliver the best possible balance of power and fuel efficiency at field speeds when operators need it most.
2010 Case IH ships world's first tractor meeting new the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Tier 4A emissions requirements for agricultural equipment. The engine in the new Magnum Series tractor uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to reduce particulate matter and nitrogen oxides in emissions while actually boosting power, and improving fuel efficiency and durability.
(((For those who noticed, I didn't mistype, "meeting new the U.S. Environmental........" is a direct quote from the website.)))

I agree that prices are on the decline for tractors, but they are rising on some implements. Cultivators 10 years ago could be had for 100.00, now on the low end they are 600.00, bar mowers are in the 4-500 range now as are flail mowers.

Whoa! Where are you? $600 for a crappy set of cultivators? What do the good ones sell for?
Here in the Northeast prices tend to be a bit inflated and even here I don't see cultivators going for that much.

That Lo Boy has been discussed over in the vine.

There's plenty of pictures still on Ebay just click on "see original listing". Have to scroll way down for the pictures. Good paint job, shiny bolt heads, and a whole bunch of wrong things in my opinion for a "COMPLETELY RESTORED" tractor.

Re: Used farmall cub prices?????? whats up
In the early 90's when I bought my Cub they were hard to find at any price in the want ads, I found mine for 600 with several implements , also advertised at the same time was a very nice F-Cub listed at 3,000 dollars seller was an elderly guy around 80 yrs and the Cub was nice really nice anyway no buyer on that Cub , the guy passed away and there the Cub still sits, I bet the same happens for the 11,000 dollar Cub only a fool would pay that much.

I was wondering about that overdrive. He said he used it for tractor rides. Most orginized rides require your tractor to run at least 10 mph and a Cub won't do that. Makes me wonder. The despeeder won't make it go faster. Can you mount it backwards???

Re: Used farmall cub prices?????? whats up
I just bought a 1950 with 'touch control'. The guy was asking $2,500.00 in the add but when I showed up to look at the tractor he dropped it to $1,500.00 without much fuss. It came with the grader blade, everything works and it runs good. Northern Maine.

Excellent Posco! They seem to be a touch cheaper way up your way. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your Cub.
I did get a great deal on my loader Cub in western Maine, lips are sealed on what I paid for it. It is my favorite Cub too! Not that it matters, but it's an International Cub (after mid 1964 no more Farmall).

Thank you for the welcome. There's another one I'm looking at that has a three point hitch on it and I believe he is asking $2,500.00 for it. Not in quite as good overall condition as the one I just bought but in good shape. Front and rear wheel weights as well.
I'm afraid I may be hooked.
