With the passing of my father this summer our family has been left with a couple of antique tractors. An F- Cub sn170651J and an Allis Chalmers S/N B89083. Looking for fair pricing on both I have several of interested parties. Both run very well, start easily, no smoke, the CUB idles like a sewing machine.
Thanks for and help or comments you may have.

Wow Two beautiful tractors....Wish you lived closer...Pricing has alot to do with area and I'm sure someone will chime in from Illinois or around there to answer your post....Here in Central NY....2500 for the cub in real good shape would be a decent start price with the mott....Would I pay that....No....But thats a start for you...The AC I don't know much about...Buying or selling affets the price a lot

Re: CUB Pricing
I agree. Start at 2500 for the cub and flail mower.
Also do not know anything about the A C.

Welcome to the forum! Sad to hear of the passing of your father. Don't know how long he had these two tractors, but it appears he took care of them. Can't give you a price for northern Illinois, but the Chicago/North IL area should produce some interest in each of them.
Any possibility that you may want to keep either tractor?
Again, we're saddened that these circumstances have brought you to the forum, but we want to welcome you all the same. Blessings to you and yours.

Re: CUB Pricing
Look around and inside of the out building for more implements. I agree that your father took good care of the tractors so don't just give them away.
The Mott looks to be an older model like mine, with the lift bar and not a chain. My question is that the idler pulleys on the rear drawbar appear to be misplaced. Anyone with any other comments regarding this?

Re: CUB Pricing
I would agree on $2500 as a start point maybe $2750. I have seen Cubs in IL bring high dollar and some go for way less than they are worth. I know of one Cub for sale in the area that is restored with Sickle mower for $3800. I have paid up to $2500 for a good unrestored Cub in the Chicago area. As for the Allis, they really don't seem to bring much at sales that I have seen. $2500 on down I believe? Not an Allis guy so don't quote me on that.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: CUB Pricing
Western Illinois $2200-$2300 asking price on cub more like $1800-$1500 selling price or less. On the B my dad just bought a AC B for $900 in great shape. I would say $1200 tops asking price and more like $1000-850 selling price.
