The low temps were bad enough but the wind was treacherous. Wind chills in the single digits and below.

When I was a kid in NE PA. It was my job to take the wheel driven manure spreader up on the hill. It was usually about 7:00 at night after milking.( Beat chain lose from frozen wooden floors first) One night it was 5 below wind blowing. I went so fast with that spreader I was throwing manure 15 feet in the air.
