Not as high as the price.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Actually I cant say it looks that bad. My mom was a breast cancer survivor. Before she passed last June, I wanted to restore a lowboy and paint it pink for breast cancer awareness so she could drive it in the local parades. But life got in the way. SO now pink seems like an ok color to me.
Tractors are like watermelons: the RED is good and you throw away the GREEN.

Sorry to hear about your mother. My mother passed away four years ago. But when I look at that tractor on the craigslist ad I see a faded purple/violet under white neglected and abused Cub. As I said in the title, even John Deere green would look better than that!leerenovations wrote:........ SO now pink seems like an ok color to me.

I too have seen pink tractors and have no real problem but this one needs refurbishing. It is ugly. The seat may be hinged upward for easier on and off. Vern

Re: John Deere green on a Cub doesn't look all that bad.....
I remember an article on one of the tractor sites 3 or 4 years ago where a couple had painted a JD pink in memory of the wife's mother's battle with breast cancer, and when they got to the JD show the officials would not let them bring it in due to it's being the wrong color. A member of the club suggested they set it up in the parking lot close to the entrance, which they did along with some signs telling about the history and reason for the paint. It became the hit of the show. I don't know if the club officials ever changed their minds about letting tractors painted the "wrong" colors in or not.

Maybe it's a Mary Kay cosmetic promotion?

Next, replacement of old parts (radiator, seals, etc.) + painting.
Plus 3 JD garden tractors (425,318,140)
& two Buick Roadmaster station wagons

This seems to be a reportable case of Cub abuse......it looks like that is a ejection seat that has been deployed

Does "loose engine" mean not frozen up, or worn bearings and slapping pistons?
Since retirement, the things I miss most are the holidays!
