Here we go again, I am getting tired of this!!
At 10:45 this morning it was 25F and started snowing. At 11 the ground was covered and the roads gettign slick. At 12:30 this afternoon we had an inch of snow and a prediction of 4 to 6 inches for this area, and another round coming Friday. sure would be nice to look out my window and see some green for a change. this seems like one of the longest winters I can remember. Guess that is because it started earlier than normal and has been quite a bit colder than normal. Can't be because I am getting older.

Sorry John, figured I'd apologize before I do this......
Surely you know someone in the area who owns a JD, and might come and plow the drive for you?

Re: Here we go again, I am getting tired of this!!
I think we all think this winter is so much worse because we haven't had anything comparable for several years and have all gotten used to the really mild winters. Example, Missouri Department of Conservation has said that the Armadillo's moving into the area wouldn't survive Missouri's winters. Well, for the last several years I've been seeing more and more Aramadillo carci along the roads. Which brings up another topic, are there really Aramadillo's in Missouri or are Texan's hauling the dead ones up here and throwing them out along our roads? Anyway it will be interesting to see if they survive this winter or once they get a taste of a real winter they'll all be froze out like the Conservation Department says.

Me to. And more winter weather, ie. snow, forecast in a couple of days.
Armadillo road kill has dropped off locally in the last year or so. Kinda disappointed. I'm now short on road killed armadillo meat for Texican chili. Use to be more armadillo road kill than raccoons.

Looks like we may have gotten lucky. Up to about 4 inches and seem to be in the clear according to the NOAA radar. Roads are a little slick, but MODOT is hitting them pretty hard, and bringing them around.

We had 4" by 4PM and 7" by nightfall. Since I stayed home from work, I pushed snow 3 different times yesterday for me and 6 neighbors...on my way to work this morning, it was difficult to tell they'd been plowed at all. High winds started overnight and we have blowing/drifting snow along with single digit temperatures.

Re: Here we go again, I am getting tired of this!!
weather guessers said our snow was over with about 9 last night. When I looked out about 5:30 this morning, it was snowing, and at 9:30 still is, though it is a light fine snow. I am getting to be a wimp in my old age, and with a predicted high of 20 degrees and winds from 13 to 24mph, I doubt it will get bladed today. We have two 4wd vehicles in the garage, and my daughter who is the only one that still works is off the next few days. I have a work bench beside the wood stove in the basement and probably will spend a lot of time there today.

Re: Here we go again, I am getting tired of this!!
Dear Complaint Department:
Requesting new TV programs. I have seen all of the reruns several times.
9:30 AM and still sitting around in my night clothes. No travel advisory still in effect for the 3rd day. Streets plowed but snow packed. Snow plows pushed snow up to and around parked vehicles.
Gonna get a bit of exercise this afternoon, digging out vehicles. Will brush snow off vehicles to let sun heat up the interior - hoping to unfreeze doors frozen shut.
AM, light fluffy snow, around 6 inches of snow on the ground. Negative degree temperatures for next two nights. Small space heater in basement bathroom to keep pipes from freezing tonight.
Unaffectionately yours:
Eugene
Edit: Thank you for filling my propane tank last week. I am disappointed that the propane fill left me with a one cent positive balance on my contract. Normally I would have had my last fill on the propane contract in mid to late March and then have a positive $50- balance.
