Cut out regulator wiring

Postby Jeff Silvey » Sun Jul 20, 2014 6:27 am

I have been working on a cub for awhile. I would have had it done but injuries got in the way. Its a 1948 cub with trimmed dash (Barnyard has the #). I bought a new wiring harness from Porch its for a cub with a cut out. Big Dog told me its a cutoff regulator. I cant find a wiring diagram for cut offs. I don't want to wire up wrong & burn stuff up.
Thanks

Take the cover off the cutout/regulator. if there is one coil inside wire for the cutout (cut off is another way of saying cutout.) If 2 or 3 coils, it is a regulator, and use the regulator wiring except for the L lead. The original wire from the ammeter to the light switch does the same as the L lead.
