No, that's a small block painted blue. Chevy engines were painted blue for several years.
Yep!, times have changed. Used to be able to tell just by the size, but the tell tell sign was that "classic" s-turn on the front of the small block intake lip. Where the gasket was hard to seat!!
Big Blocks didn't have the s-turn there....just a little bend closer to the head.
Yep, a lot of post Nader engines were blue...in more ways than one. LOL

Blue is the theme of the boat and the wife like it so be it!
It is more of a metalic flake when you see it in person looks cool!
Not really a ford blue at all and I balanced it out with some red parts as well will send more pictures when installed
Nice to see a few motor heads here other then myself and Carl
