No, that's a small block painted blue. Chevy engines were painted blue for several years.

No, that's a small block painted blue. Chevy engines were painted blue for several years.




Yep!, times have changed. :( Used to be able to tell just by the size, but the tell tell sign was that "classic" s-turn on the front of the small block intake lip. Where the gasket was hard to seat!!

Big Blocks didn't have the s-turn there....just a little bend closer to the head.

Yep, a lot of post Nader engines were blue...in more ways than one. LOL :)

Blue is the theme of the boat and the wife like it so be it!
It is more of a metalic flake when you see it in person looks cool!
Not really a ford blue at all and I balanced it out with some red parts as well will send more pictures when installed
Nice to see a few motor heads here other then myself and Carl
