Farmall Cub Cutaway

Postby oldiron29 » Fri Dec 07, 2018 2:38 pm

I know of the Cub demo's when did the cutaway cub come into the picture?
If I found one would it have any collector value?
This is the cutaway that had the electric motor to make is turn over.
If it was original would it be white or red?
Thanks for any info

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Is this a full size farm show tractor that shows the inner workings?

I think he's referring to a trade-show type demo piece showing the inner workings and slowly turned over with an electric motor. I'm not aware that they ever did anything like that for the Cub, but I'm not aware of much anyhow.

I have seen a few cubs with holes like that in the block!

I am sure to the right person with deep enough pockets it has value. It would be the person who had everything else.

If you did to find one it may have more value to you as a tax donation to a farming or tractor museum. Like I said you would have to find just the right person.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

That is an old BF Goodrich tread design, not limited to rice tires.

I like that cutaway. It would be nice to see it in person some day.
