More snow plowing

Postby Bigdog » Sat Dec 17, 2005 9:43 am

PWL sent me some pictures of his snow plowing escapades. This is the tractor that had the carburetor issues that generated the threads on the main jet size variations. After some research and comparison of various jet orfices some experimentation was done by Phil and the end result was a very good running cub. This is another example of what can be accomplished when you combine the efforts of several people towards one end.

Each one is a good picture. The best, maybe the one where you are pushing snow with a snowman flag in the background. Dan

Great shots

Postby allenlook » Sun Dec 18, 2005 10:58 am

Great shots! That's a pretty serious mug all right :D

I was looking at my linkage on the plow the other day, and I still don't understand what the metal piece is that we bolt onto the rocker arm...

There's a hole there (on mine anyway) that looks like it would take the lever from the plow just fine, so why bolt on that extra funky-shaped piece to the rocker arm, and then put the plow lever into that?

Is it designed to also drive the plow when it's belly-mounted? I've never attached my plow that way or looked at how it's done, so I don't know...

Allen I belive its to space mounting point out so it dosen't hit the steering wheel shaft. And yes the other end hooks to the plow when using it as a grader blade.
