My first home-made Fast-Hitch implement...

Busy day today, but I feel I accomplished something.

I have a number of items around the farm that mount in a 2" receiver hitch. One or two of them would be handy on the back of the Cub, so today's project was to create a fast-hitch implement with a 2" receiver hitch socket. Turned out to be pretty easy. I had purchased a fast-hitch point off eBay a few years ago, so most of the task was cutting and welding it together. A steel pin connects the receiver tube to the fast-hitch point, so just in case my welds are not up to snuff, the pin will keep it from seperating.

First item to put on was the "luggage rack"... for lugging chainsaws and tools out the trails around the farm. :)

I went a little simpler & cheaper on mine when I made it a couple years ago. I use mine a lot for moving trailers. Works great being tucked up next to tractor.

That is clever, I hadn't thought of adding tabs to the receiver tube and mounting it under the drawbar.

I got the idea from my brother, he made one for one of his 140's and when I acquired the fast hitch I made it.

Spent some quality time communing with the MIG welder yesterday, end result was finishing my receiver hitch with a tool rack. Had enough scrap steel laying about to make the pieces. Enough space to take a few hand tools out in the field with me. (Probably just a shovel and hoe, maybe a steel rake or a cant hook if I'm out in the woods sawing trees.)

Not my deer... I just did the body disposal job for a friend of the family who was hunting on the farm. (I didn't bother to get an Archery or Muzzle-loader license this year, just regular rifle... so I have to wait until December)

Love the rack and the rack.

Been trying to figure out a way to carry tools (shovels etc) on a fast hitch with 2" pvc or something. Always seem to have a mower in the fast hitch.

The OBVIOUS answer to that is another tractor with a fast hitch!!! Oh, did I mention that I just happened to have one for sale?!! :{_}:

Could put something like this into one of the front hitches.

No shortage of tractors.... shovels don't stay put in the loader's bucket. A rack is a useful item, but too many projects for that to happen.

Doesn't work so much on a Cub but you can carry a lot of stuff between the gearshift and the fender on a Super A--140 unless you are worried about paint...
